HP today announced two new webcams for the educational market. The HP 320 and 325 FHD webcams capture FHD (1080p) at 30 fps and are compatible with Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS systems.
As many students have been forced to transition to remote learning options over the past two years, many companies have stepped up to offer the equipment needed for a productive educational experience. HP is one such company, and its new 320 and 325 FHD webcams aim to make telecommuting and distance learning as easy as plugging in a USB cable.
The HP 320 and 325 webcams share many of the same specifications. Both feature a ¼” CMOS sensor with 5 megapixels, and both are able to capture FHD (1920×1080) video at 30 frames per second. Both have a 66-degree field of view and have auto-light correction software, built-in microphones, and a privacy shutter.
Both webcams are made from plastic and have a clip that can hang onto a variety of surfaces (like the lid of a laptop or the top of a computer monitor). The webcams’ plastic base allows for full 360-degree rotation.
The HP 320 and 325 are compatible with Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS, and bear Works With Chromebook Certifications, meaning they can be used with Chrome OS devices. The webcams are simple plug-and-play units and connect via a USB-A cable.
The HP 320 FHD Webcam will be available in February for US$39.99. The HP 325 FHD Webcam will be available in March for $39.
